I don't think they have the upgrades in the car, the ones tested at Duxford were supposedly for Barcelona?

Film days do not allow the testing of new parts. The cars can only run with the set-up used at the previous race. So how could they test parts in prep. for Barca?

You are wrong. It was a promotional day to display the Caterham and Lotus. The photos have been shown in a number of mags.

They could have combined them, for logistical reasons. Brought one car for shooting promos, one for testing new elements.

Why is Team Lotus having so many problems with the power steering unit?

I have been wondering too, can't remember any team having that many power steering issues for years. I thought it was already pretty stable technology in F1. Trulli has also been complaining with the feel of their power steering. I could imagine they could just buy another system or are these designed for each car?

Sorry but no FEE. Look at the photo above your post. That is the new manifold. Redbull/Mclaren style. Oval and blowing the outer 5cm of the diffuser.
