At least Hamilton seems to be confident in the car again which is good. Also said that the car has improved in all areas

Strategy is more straightforward when the cars are apart on the grid.

Good signs from today. The car still seems twitchy and the fact George wasnt having a hood time shows that w14 is still a sensitive car and is difficult to get the balance right.
I agree with George out of the way, hamilton should have a simple strategy where the team doesnt have to please two drivers and shaft the best plan because George is complaining.
For Sure!!

Does George prefer more bite at the front and a loose rear or the opposite?

Paraphrasing the team, the w14 is a unpredictable car. it reacts completely differently from lap to lap and corner to corner. George has a lot more recent experience that Lewis when it comes to crap cars (caugh caugh williams). As far as I'm aware he also hasn't had any serious accidents. IMO he is just better at driving a car that's trying to kill you.

imo Lewis does better when the car is predictable, as he keeps adjusting to find time.

I dont think Russel drives crap cars better. I think by virture or his age and stage of career, he is taking more risk in everything. Every corner, every lap, every stint.
I think George and Lewis have similar styles but Lewis knows what to do with a more predictable and a better car. George hasnt had epxerience with that outside of that one race when Lewis was sick in 2020.

the car isn't the problem the team confirmed
George is the problem he isn't good in this tricky track and can't get a lap together

Precisely, RUS is just more of a ROS type in that speed maybe doesn’t come as naturally and needs to be learned. That’s a better reasoning for RUS downswings this yr than this Williams car experience theories. He needs a bit more time to acquaint himself with the updated car.

I think it a simpler thing. George like Valterri and Nico befote him has a driving style that heats up the tyres better than Hamilton. That's the only explanation for me why sometimes he's quicker while HAM struggles and vice-versa.

Lewis with a different approach to turn 11 and finally nailed turn 15 which was so troublesome yesterday. 0.069 down. Not bad at all. There were still a few corrections needed throughout that final lap so more time could have been had. The car is still pretty nervous and twitchy.
Russell ran used softs, hence the gap.

RUS gap to HAM is bigger than PER to VER. Still some more learning to do it seems.

Per was also on used. Both of them struggled for pace yesterday so didn't have fresh tires.
