I'm well aware of what a gurney flap is, and no I'm not talking about the gurney flap. I'm talking about the floor by the rear tyre. It looks like it 90°'s

Edit: You can see in this picture they tried different endplates on the RW

Also that the endplate is noticeably thicker at the leading edge, could the new rear wing be Ferrari's DDRS?

I don't think Ferrari will adapt DDRS mate.
Go back on this thread an you'll understand why.

It's interesting that Ferrari seem to be getting a small eddy flowing over the end of the beam wing... Most models I've ever seen have shown the speed of the flow over the wings overcoming any eddy from high pressure to low pressure side.

Well if you look at the bulkhead below there's no room for DDRS right now. Merc Gene said Ferrari were working on a DDRS system but that it wasn't top priority. So who knows, but I doubt we see a DDRS before Monza.

My apologies, I had mistaken what you were referencing so I was surprised you didn't know what the edge was.

I'm completely amazed by ferrari, in 3 months they tried almost every solution for the exausts (a more likely RB solution is the one missing if i'm not mistaken), this could give them an important edge for their final updates of the season.

Well I was actually going to call what I was talking about a gurney flap, but then figured it would surely confuse everyone because then they would be looking at the real gurney flap. I didn't know how else to describe it. My apologies for not being more clear.

It looks like when they redesigned the diffuser they lowered that step a wee bit... maybe a quarter inch or so.

Here's the diffuser from the winter tests:

And here it is at Malaysia

It also looks like they've decreased the overall width of the diffuser channel, in turn adding slightly to the width of that step's run.
