Does anyone have his first stint please ?
Hamilton medium:

Hamilton medium:

Actually, I've re-checked AMuS' Live ticker and the first 2 runs you mention were actually the 2nd and the 3rd stint. They missed the 1st stint, as they were busy covering the new nose.
So I re-iterate my demand : if anyone could provide with Lewis's 1st run, it would be nice.
Thanks

Then my mistake. It seems they've gained half a second over last year. It's still huge, but not as big a step as I thought. That puts Ferrari closer, close enough for them to be the better team depending on the type of circuit, and generally being able to hang with Mercedes otherwise. As in Ferrari may have a tiny advantage on certain circuits, but will generally be ~.3-.5 behind on most tracks.

Are you sure? It Says:
11:39 After 20 fast laps in the first stint followed 21 in the second on medium: 1: 28.7 - 1: 27.8 - 1: 27.7 - 1: 27.4 - 1: 28.0 - 1: 27.9 - 1: 27.5 - 1: 27.4 - 1 : 27.8 - 1: 27.9 - 1: 27.8 - 1: 28.5 - 1: 32.2 - 1: 33.1 (each transport) - 1: 27.6 - 1: 27.7 - 1: 27.9 - 1: 28.4 - 1: 28.2 - 1: 28.2 - 1: 29.1 - box. Brutal constant! The times of the first stint, see if you scroll down until 11:04.

And the 11:04 is the stint i linked 1.

This may be a dumb question. What strategy do most teams employ with car selection. I assume most teams only have 1 car at this point. The second car is a pile of parts ready to go together based on this past test. Do they now assemble the second car for this second test? Or do they continue with the current one? Which driver gets which car?

Yes they are, 100 km for the filming day plus 50 more for second chassis shakedown, as I understand from spanish media.

So, luckily, they could make 2 laps before the engine stops

They have a filming day tomorrow and 4 testing days. The season is long, let's not make predictions after 4 days of testing. Remember how many miles they completed before today and as they said previously they aren't pushing yet. They haven't even used ultra soft or super soft tires yet.

The hydraulic leak could have happened to any team, it's not really a follow on of Honda's previous issues I don't think.
Agree, not constructive, but also unrealistic. Let's face it, Honda was not able to make all the changes they want to, they still have tokens to work, and allocate, and not everything is in the PU. PU would be better than last year but it will improve during the year also as things work out and if they do. Is an uphill battle, so we can only witness and wish they get things right, don't expect McLaren fighting for victories, at least not in regular scenarios. Let's be realistic but not pessimistic please, it doesn't help

Yep, but just before that, they were wondering why he stopped his race-sim (actually it was the last stint ) :
11:36 Gibt es ein Problem bei Mercedes? Die Rennsimulation wird abgebrochen. Oder alles planmäßig?
And then, they give the answer, they actually missed the 1st stint :
12:01 Wir haben nochmals nachgeschaut: Es könnte sein, dass Hamilton schon vor zehn Uhr mit der Rennsimulation begonnen hatte. Da lagen seine Zeiten im tiefen 1:30er Bereich. Im Wirbel um die neue Mercedes-Nase haben wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht alle Zeiten erfasst. Wir bitten um Verständnis, dass wir nicht immer alles erfassen können.

I don't suppose you know how many lap's this would mean that can do roughly? are we looking at 50-60 Lap's?

The circuit of Catalunya is 4,6 kms long, that gives them 30 lap if I'm correct.

Is there a driver line up schedule around anywhere at present for the second part of the Barcelona test, will be going over there for next week, only booked for first & last day so far, any idea where to head to the parking on the circuit for the test, all new for me?

Can i have the lottery numbers for the NY state lottery too?
you do know that in this phase of testing none of the teams are chasing performance , that comes in the final test next week.

Very ominous stint times even when accounting for colder conditions!

Actual race stints from last year. Go to the bottom of the page for average stint lap time if you wish:

http://en.mclarenf-1.com/index.php?page ... n%20Vettel

I know, I know. Traffic and all that different conditions etc.. but let us consider that aero has improved, engine and tyres. These stint times are still ominous!
