Interesting lap analysis between Hamilton and Norris… Ultimately, Lewis managed to get edge Lando with an amazing take on Turn 5… The gap created there was carried over the rest of the lap

2 teams have nailed the regulations. Red Bull and Ferrari. And it seems even they need to make changes after the rules are tightened.
I dobt think other teams blundered. Apart from maybe Mercedes
Nailed the regulations or did some controversial activities and then called it loopholes?

I couldn't care less which, I'd have been happy if Mclaren had done one or the other, it's the nature of the sport.

What is the excuse for Ricciardo today? It’s never his fault, so I’m curious what is it today
He was only a 10th off Lando in q2, that’s progress! He can get good points tomorrow from there. Especially after the 2 cars in front of him get their penalties applied.

Again, Lando didn’t do a 2nd run on Q2. He started, but boxed before finishing.

It doesn’t matter what anyone could have done, the time on the board is all that matters.

What happened to Daniel?
Is it that he is not adapting, or he is poor at setup?
He is not a slow driver for sure.

This is the million dollar question that everyone is asking for the past 2 seasons... for me, he simply seems out of sync with the car. When he tires to push, he destroys his tires quicly and he pits early. Then he is too far behind to make a comeback. When he drives a solid race he does not move more than one place up or down the grid.... :(

I think Daniel needs a reboot and fresh start at a new team - he hasn't clicked with Mclaren and I am not sure if there is any team out there that would be willing to sign him up as the number 1 driver. Maybe Aston is looking to refresh their lineup.

Mclaren needs someone to be up there with Lando in this tight midfield which will only get tighter with budget caps and stable-ish regulations.

If Daniel doesn't get his act together then in my opinion they should bring back Fernando Alonso as I think that 3rd time's the charm or get Sebastian Vettel.
