Interesting to hear about Kimi, looked very careful and a bit uncomfortable around the corners. Steering problems worse or the missing practise costing?
Schumacher did not complain about qualifying or one lap grip of Pirelli's. He complained about basically Pirellis not letting them race properly during the races.
I agree, that is my interpretation.

Schumacher said he'd get pole, start in 6th and then win the race. Looks like he's close to doing so!!! I yelled a big fu<k yeah when P1 popped up!

Oh come on, can't you see this is a part of FOM's rigged Pirellottery, MS whines about the tyres and he's all of a sudden fastest?

While last race's winner is down in 9th?

Long time lurker but thought I'd finally register :D

Interesting quali session.

Does anyone think that the incident between Maldonado and Perez could have caused the later failure in Q1 for Perez? Nasty crash.

He was at fault for that...take the blinders off.
How is this relevant to Schumachers P1-lap? Why not let us have our moment? Oh, because you hate us perhaps?

Eat your humble pie. 8)
He's still starting 6th.

No moment to have.
That's quite a sad attitude to have imo, especially with the unashamed and quite obvious disdain you hold for MS.

I was watching it on Sky F1, and one of them, I think Brundle, referred to the fact that it looked like a front left suspension problem which was exactly the same place that Maldonado hit and that it may have been linked...

Either way, having your steering not work on a circuit like Monaco must be a bit scary for the driver!

I would say nothing is settled for the race. We hace seen cars change pace dramatically from qualifying to race, there might be a train and guys from front will drop right back into traffic, there might be safety cars, or we might see someone running away at the front but I don't think so, it seems too tight for that.

Welcome. Hope you come and enter the discussion lots more.

It could have, but virtually no team has Non Destructive Testing methods at any GP let alone monaco. NDT needs to be done in a sterile environment at the teams base.

It was a nasty accedent and has shown yet again that the swimming pool section needs to be looked at again, however the statue that overlooks the track at that point cannot be moved and if the track was to change in that section you would loose a ton of flow in that section of the track.

There is space to change the track layout in that area, posibly add another 2.5 seconds onto the lap time of the lap, but it involves alot of upheaveal and reclaim from the sea and shifting of moorings of vessels in the harbour.

Its pretty much the same at the Nuvelle Chichane, there is a concern there, and there has been for years, last year played out by firstly Rosberg the more powerfully by Perez. There was a plan floated for a better exit and land reclaim for a more "Purpose built" chichane however the building of the new Harbour Club at the exit of the tunnel has killed those plans.

There is things that can be done, but you need to be careful as there isnt enough space in Monaco.

Mercedes AMG fans, we have to stick together!

Both Rosberg and Schumacher are excellent drivers. For me, it's been clear for a while that the W01 and W02 cars have been flattered by their drivers, but now with the W03 it does seem like they have a car with the ability to win races.

The W03 has struck up 2 poles, and 1 win now: let's home for much more by the end of the season!

To me it looked like the steering arm broke at the kerb, maybe it was Maldonado's crash or there was prior contact at the qualy lap, it should't have done that a th kerb, it s just a very low kerb.
