Its fine, it looks weird as the edges are smoothed.

If you import each STL file into the same Sketchup window then you will get this:

(images work when I post them in img tags then a refresh and they disappear...odd)

Quick note: Matteo and SR71 advised me that v1.1.002 was not working when including wheels - which is fixed in v1.1.003 (http://www.khamsinvirtualracecarchallen ... .1-003.zip), but I was also advised of the following issues:

- Simulation hangs at time with the log output reporting nan and 0. I am looking into it;
- gompi missing from the cfd support Windows distribution... So I should code mpirun itself. I will be looking into it shortly as soon as I sort out the above issue.

And I forgot: the front page of the website has the list of registered teams...

Thank you Julien!

I had look to the team list: the number of partecipants increased very much. That is great, but, what about the legality check? Everything will be as usual or there are some changes?

I like TF and RicMe websites.

... am I wrong or Machin will take part to the challenge? I hope so!

This is quite a line up. I hope everybody enters into the first race and does not get frustrated to soon.
Creating these cars can take tons of time as one always comes up with better ideas... but then the CAD skills show the limits. At least on my side very often my ideas look a bit bad in 3D (hand drawing would be even worse though).

Also good to see some pages with content related to the cars. It will be interesting to follow all of this and get to know the competitors a bit better. Maybe after the season we need a meet-up party somewhere. I suggest Barcelona, as we seem to have Spanish entries.

My team name got a bit damaged. Should I reenter or can it get fixed?

Hey, a Formula Student race is going to be held there, late summer...

Anyway, i think i'm already a tifoso of "Machin's Shiny Melon" raceteam!

Richard has indeed registered - he contacted us to make sure we were fine with him taking part and suggested to be a non scoring participants so that people are not worried that he may be tweaking the results. I said that I was not worried - he provides Virtual Stopwatch and do not see the design not can he twik the software to make himself more at an advantage apart from knowledge (in my opinion). If anyone is worried, let us know.

LVDH: sorry for not handling the html tags smoothly. Maybe a feature for next year...

I´m sorry for my stupidity, but what STL files?

Ok, here is my fourth take on v1.1 with v1.1.004 for download at http://www.khamsinvirtualracecarchallen ... .1-004.zip. I did something for all the errors above - and I am crossing my fingers really hard. Let me know what goes wrong (and if it goes right).

Should be STL files in the compressed folder alongside the STEP and SKP

Thing its good to have Richard in the competition, see whether his knowledge and advice is a load of old tosh or not ;)

It will be great to have Richard as competitor. No worries at all about the result: OCCFD and VirtualStopWatch are freely avalaible for all, that makes the competition completely clear

The only doubt is about Chris and Julien hard work... or is there any new idea about legality check and simulation time?

About the teams: it would be nice if each team principal or chief designer ;) could provide a short presentation if an official page would not be possible.

I just want to make it clear that I have nothing to do with "Machin's Shiny Melon"!!!
