Then breaking later, something not completely meaningless.Juzh wrote:People are braking before the speed trap beam in the wet, that's why they're meaningless.
I'm not sure we can read much from this. Haryanto matched Button and had faster trap than Alonso.
Why just 40? If they find 80hp, they will be battle with Merc. And if they find 90hp, they will be world champions. True story.Sasha wrote:If Mclaren can fix this car(major oversteer problem) and Honda F1 R&D can find 40hp(could see this by mid-season) then they would be right there with Ferrari.
Finding another 40 hp by mid-season is a MAJOR DEAL in the short time-frame!santos wrote:Why just 40? If they find 80hp, they will be battle with Merc. Got a link to these quotes of them both saying the car is weak ?? .. looked on McLaren and other websites. Not a sign of that, plenty of comments about how they didnt get all that they wanted done. Both seemed fairly positive. And James Allen is a journo, most of what he writes is just clickbait for his website. The last time I looked he wasnt exactly experienced in F1 engine and chassis design.basti313 wrote:Well...do not put too much hopes in this car. James Allen already wrote after the tests, that the engine is not the only problem, but the chassis is also week. I would not post this here without todays interviews of But and Alo saying exactly the same.

The car hasnt run in this spec until today, and that was in two wet sessions where the team didnt get everything they wanted done. If they are at the back of the grid tomorrow after a dry qualifying its time to be concerned.
Those comments from Button and Alonso were from Thursday I believe, Alonso was quiet surprise and happy with the car today http://www.marca.com/motor/formula1/gp- ... b45f7.htmlME4ME wrote:http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns33329.htmlManu_Forti wrote:Got a link to these quotes of them both saying the car is weak ?? .. looked on McLaren and other websites. Haven't seen those quotes anywhere else. Can't say I have looked out for them though.
