Crazy race.

Max on fire and Ferrari really hates harder compounds.
Max move was legal circa 2014... i don't know what they'll do today.
Bottas looks like he pressed "also ran" mode, shameful.
Ferrari messed up with Vettel's race getting "cute" around the undercut, and of course not having the tires there.

Great race from max, but he messed up by pushing leclerc. he did't have to as he was already through. But he got greedy and wanted to prevent Charles from following and regaining the position. He should have just gone through and leave him space. If it was one steady push outside that would have been acceptable however there were multiple double moves to push leclerc out. Sad but i think it must be a penalty.
For Sure!!

This penalty system is a shame?

Awesome drive for the top 5 drivers, all of them drove beautifully. Red Bull was the best car today, by a lot, well done to Honda as well. If Max didn't have that bad start, he would've won by a mile.

They should've pitted Vettel a lap earlier. He would have gotten Bottas in such case.

Paul di Resta saying he wants racing like that. The guy used to cry like a baby in the interview area if anything didnt go his way

This has been done for years like this. It'll be interesting to see whether the stewards set a new precedent.
Yes, but if they penalize the BS they did the last few races, they also have to penalize this to show any consistency.
Both cars were on track and racing, one of them wasn't forcing someone in to a wall to defend a driving mistake.
Yes and one car wasn't on the track afterwards because the other one bumped it off the track. It was not just the inccident in Canda, there was also the thing with... i think it was Sainz in France.

The problem is, verstappen has been let go off so many times with such stupid moves, he feels entitled to do that.

i completely agree.he brings energy into F1 racing but you cant act like a diva and push people out.

Easy penalty for Max. Racing is not about hitting opponents and pushing them out of the track.

Leclerc made a big mistake by giving Verstappen the inside. He should have stayed on the inside. Kimi showed how it's done.

Great to see Honda on the podium

I'm like 50/50 on the incident though, it was tough, if Max had been on the receiving end he wouldn't be happy

Leclerc will return the favor that's for sure, this looks like the making of a fierce rivalry, the future looks bright

I'm so sorry that all of the sour grapes complaining about poor F1 racing and how they'd given on the sport last week, obviously missing this great race. today. Congratulations to Max, to Honda and to Leclerc for a great drive. Gonna need a two week break after this one!

Danke Niki.

Liberty not showing driver of the day, apparently it was Kubica :). I am guessing someone trolled and now no one is talking about it (except Hill who didn't get the memo).

So RB has been improved in high-speed corners, where Max was the quickest in the race but also in the PU modes for the race and cooling now matching Ferrari in this regard ...

And last but not least they seem to have also fully in control with tyre management as we could see that in the second part of 2018

Ferrari also improved in high-speed stuff and had they would find gains in the lower turns we could see some cracking race in the near future, bearing in mind that Merc must have the same time penalising cooling setup with this hot summer temps nowadays ...

Agreed, Max got greedy there. I think his immediate reaction on the radio saying "he turned into me" shows consciousness of guilt.
