In addition to the DRS, Alonso's lap was later in the session and track conditions were pretty dynamic (might go without saying). Alonso's one lap earlier push was at the same time as Charles.



Turn 1 and 2 were the big loss, which I suppose we expect given the tire differential. Any comparisons are probably pretty meaningless given the session, driver commitment and changing track conditions but his running on the inter at the end was strong.

Both drivers reporting satisfaction with the number of laps and driving in all conditions all the time, but obviously few useful conclusions could be made, same for everyone. In any case, track position is very important here and putting everything together in Q3 will be crucial

Seems that Leclerc has some issues with the brakes, similar to Bahrain.

The session is pretty much wasted for Leclerc. Hopefully they will fix the issue for quali. Jesus Christ how is this possible?
