i know that, but FIA changes their regulations without defining it strictly. last change was two days ago abut exhaust and front wings .Gridlock wrote:The RB8 exhaust flow is redirected by a mechanical device that moves related to speed*, if you want to be pedantic about it. So it will be interesting to see what turns up on track tomorrow.radosav wrote: well, FIA's last statement was that they are against any kind of redirecting exhaust flow mechanically.
Anyone at Jerez care to see which garage burns the midnight oil longest?
How much Red Bull is there at Red Bull?

Of course, thats what F1 technology is about isn't it? The designers make the cars go faster, the FIA slow them down (usually in the interests of safety) again with regulations, then the designers come up with new and inventive ways to circumvent these rules.mx_tifoso wrote:I suppose that teams will take it as far as they can before being protested or contacted by Charlie Whiting. That is an interesting little pipe going into the crash structure. An exit for hot gases or a conduit for hydraulics for the DRS?Redragon wrote:Also I am seeing this on this picture. A second exhauts from the radiators and some holes recapturing this hot air to direct on the central back or I am just crazy
I doesn't seem like it was ever filled in.TheRMVR wrote:Thanks, thats very clear. If you take a look at the launch photo's that metal hole was filled with a suspension arm, right in the middle between the arms. Can this mean they have different holes in the chassis to try out different suspension lay-outs?amouzouris wrote:here:
i outlined the arms with yellow and the pullrod with red
What about these pictures. It looks like it's a different place from the pullrod on the track.mx_tifoso wrote:I doesn't seem like it was ever filled in.TheRMVR wrote:Thanks, thats very clear. This pic isn't as clear but you can still see the gap between the pull rod and red body work. IMO.
