My point is that it isn't as bad as projected.
If you know how the race direction works, just as long as you stick to your tyre, they'll flag if it becomes undriveable.
cfr. Germany 2007 where Winkelhock changed to full wets, the others to inters and the race got flagged due to the inter guys.
In other words: it doesn't pay to addapt your strategy to the weather.
