Uh, NSR500...one of the best bikes ever built. and boy was it wild!
Even this year Honda is struggling to make the RC213V less aggressive.
They are in the top 10 in terms of raw speed I would say. They just pitted when believed the gains we're not big enough.bauc wrote:Not too bad for a first Qualy, I honestly believed we can be in the top 10 but its still to early ... lest see how the team will do tomorrow
They're not if you can count to 10 Merc, F, TR, WIll, RB (even if you remove FI)Postmoe wrote:They are in the top 10 in terms of raw speed I would say. "Plus it's pretty clear to me they activated qualy mode for the first time in Q1 and then wouldnt take more risks."
- Let's judge it if it happens then.
- They're going to need all the engines modes for more engine dependent tracks
Still cant find these "weak" quotes but if he's happy after having driven the car then that says it all really. Not a great qualifying but the whole session was a mess so hopefully they can move forward in the race.Redragon wrote:Those comments from Button and Alonso were from Thursday I believe, Alonso was quiet surprise and happy with the car today http://www.marca.com/motor/formula1/gp- ... b45f7.htmlME4ME wrote:http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns33329.htmlManu_Forti wrote:Got a link to these quotes of them both saying the car is weak ?? .. looked on McLaren and other websites. Not a sign of that, plenty of comments about how they didnt get all that they wanted done. Both seemed fairly positive. And James Allen is a journo, most of what he writes is just clickbait for his website. The last time I looked he wasnt exactly experienced in F1 engine and chassis design.
The car hasnt run in this spec until today, and that was in two wet sessions where the team didnt get everything they wanted done. If they are at the back of the grid tomorrow after a dry qualifying its time to be concerned.
Haven't seen those quotes anywhere else. Can't say I have looked out for them though.
Jenson"The car was fantastic today," he said. "I felt very comfortable and very happy with the performance of the car all weekend.
"We didn't expect to be too fast here because our car is still limited in performance in certain areas. But we were more competitive than we anticipated, have some new things coming for in the next few races, and we're looking to be stronger in the future
"Tomorrow will be interesting – hopefully we can get both cars into the points."
Button added that he was encouraged by McLaren's proximity to Williams and Force India.
"Winter testing was positive in terms of mileage, but less so in terms of pace, so we're all positively surprised with how close we were to Williams and Force India," he said.
"I actually believe we have a better race car than a qualifying car – which is a turnaround from last year – and our deployment is almost as good as anybody else's, which will benefit us more in the races.
Sorry, I'm not an English native speaker, but what does "deployment" mean exactly in F1?
