Ah right, that clearly does make a difference. And also, Hamilton got himself ahead of Leclerc, and then had clean air to manage temperature of both car/PU and tyres, which made things a lot easier. For me, that (probably cheeky) comment of HAM to Button after the race 'I tried driving like you', is an important, and true one: Hamilton (had to) learn a lot from Button, as he did from the way Rosberg won a WDC from him. I wonder how much Russell really does that at the moment, he seems much more focused on asserting him than on learning where he could.
