Horner: "He has to concede the corner" -
<< Horner says that when you're side by side with another driver, you're not entitled to be there and have to give it up if you're on the outside line.

Horner: "What are you supposed to do?"
-<< I don't know Chris... exit the corner on the inside line like any normal race car driver does when on the inside of another car?

Horner: "This is what F1 needs, this is hard racing"
--<< This means that side by side racing effectively doesn't exist. No racing any more. It implies that any time there's side by side racing, one driver is entitled to push the other driver off the track. It's the antithesis of racing... it's basically disallowing racing and turning F1 into bumper cars.

The problem is this hasn't been policed in F1 and given drivers the expectation of being able to do this without penalty.
Horner has no standards. If the same happened in two weeks but Max getting pushed off he would be saying the exact opposite after just saying that

Copybook 2016 move! Ferrari have every right to demand a penalty to Verstappen.

Max Rosberg?
Always find the gap then use it.

If Leclerc secures his first win via a penalty... I suppose he won't mind how they happen, but I doubt it will feel as meritocratic as winning on the race track.

Max turned in to the corner, Rosberg didn't. Big difference.

Leclerc learned a lesson. If you are ahead, hold the inside, especially against Max or Ricciardo. They'll send it and then you are at their mercy if they will give you space for the corner.

I don't think it should be a penalty, it's hard racing for sure, it's more that Lerclerc showed his inexperience here.

Now imagine if there was a gravel trap.

Do you expect him to say that Max should be penalized? Do you think Toto would have said any different if it was Lewis or Bottas being investigated?

It is obvious that team boss are gonna support their driver. There is no taking away that it was an outstanding drive and hard racing with loads of overtaking courtesy Max. This is the kind of stuff F1 needs, not those boring predictable races

Clearly, no room left and driven off track.

Ferrari will fight this one for sure... After Canada, they will argue that Max “Caused a Collision” and “Push a driver off the track”... I wouldn’t like to be the Stewards right now.

If anything... F1 is giving us more drama outside of the track than inside sometimes.

Great race!

If it requires you to touch to overtake then thats called banger racing, not f1
