Red Bull RB16

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Seem they both opted for the "Verstappen" wing after all.

Marko thinks Albon will do even better with the next round of car upgrades, explaining that the corona situation meant some "instability crept into the car" with the last set of developments.

"We are bringing a new front wing to Monza," Marko revealed, and he is also hopeful the 'party mode' ban will move Red Bull even closer to Mercedes.

Is it me or is there something wrong with the picture with Albons Spa rear wing. A- it’s a unusual shape and B- all of the logos and writing are back to front. :wtf:

Further trimmed but not a huge deal different.

Interesting to see that Red Bull is using a spoon-style rear wing where Mercedes and Ferrari are using a straight rear wing.

Indeed. I think the last couple of years it was Red Bull with the smallest rear wing of the top teams. This year it seems as if they might be running the most. I wonder what the reason is for this.

Could be 2 lines of reasoning:

They need it (as their floor does not produce as much DF as Merc)
They can afford it (as the Honda is on par).

Let’s see what they race and how it turns out.

It looks like the top of the DRS flap is maybe about 1cm below the top of the endplate so it is different to the Spa spec rear wing.

Yes, certainly. But it is not yet the all flat wing they also have. I wonder if we will see it on Friday.

I don't think this is the wing they will run..they will try it.. But likely the LDF one will be what they use
