The Chinese are abandoning ICE cars at an exponential rate, so unless they are willing to be a PU customer, I don’t see it happening.
The video is fine, It's a quick recap of 2024 with the line up changes for 2025 and speculation about who will challenge etc. Max does feature.CMSMJ1 wrote: ↑08 Feb 2025, 11:56Without watching that video i can see that the people in the advert for it are those who are bringing change to F1.FW17 wrote: ↑28 Jan 2025, 05:28Look at the bias of the FOM british staff. A 2025 season video without Max Verstappen not on a feature in the season.

Max is the status quo.
Newey is big news.
Lewis is big news
Kimi is big news
Lando less so, but a change in the domination of Max.
It's not bias is it?
While we're at it, let's avoid such broad brush 'British Bias' nonsense. FOM is not British... They know the market and what sells. Max doesn't sell as he's nothing new.
I'm looking forwards to someone being able to challenge him. That will be good to see.
Lotus would be the only brand (now owned by Geely) that I could think of that makes ICE cars....anyone think of any others?
FIA's first new swearing sanction sends F1 drivers a message

These journalists want to be the center of all attention in the F1 world despite loosing all their value in current social media world. Stirring up "FIA is not fit for purpose' is not going to fly for long.Despite the radio transmissions being available to app users in both F1 and Formula E, The Race understands that the FIA regards them as 'semi-private' conversations that stewards will not clamp down on. While Ticktum's outbursts therefore attracted plenty of attention from both his defenders and detractors on social media, they didn't attract any from the stewards.
'Jump on a hate train' - Ticktum's big outburst is misunderstood

I figured this would come up now that Derek Chang is Liberty Media president who was the CEO of NBA China. Aside from Andretti, there were talks from 2023 of Panthera Team Asia which supposedly is now open to a partnership with Calvin Lo, a Hong Kong billionaire who was interested in joining F1. It's unlikely there would be a "chinese" power unit supplier, and more likely to use Mercedes or Ferrari power, unless they are forced to use Honda power at the behest of the FIA/F1. It would be an intriguing "asian" team, however.djos wrote: ↑16 Feb 2025, 22:55The Chinese are abandoning ICE cars at an exponential rate, so unless they are willing to be a PU customer, I don’t see it happening.
Most also operate on razor thin margins, so probably won’t see it as affordable marketing spend. Maybe a more upmarket brand like Zeekr could justify it tho.

It seems cringeworthy as hell, but still might be some discussion points....
Thanks. I better go to Specsavers as I didn't see that lollio007 wrote: ↑18 Feb 2025, 22:29viewtopic.php?t=32115WardenOfTheNorth wrote: ↑18 Feb 2025, 22:28Is there a thread anywhere for the Launch Event??
