Naah, I wanna see the block at 45, xhaust piping coming out at the same angle, but making a turn going vertical to the TC at
the bottom left, charge going front to the massive intercooler, while leaving the right side free for oil- and water radiators.

Nah, put the intercooler behind the roll hoop and the turbocharger over the bell housing.
No need for air intake behind drivers head or shark fin.
Upright engine for better tunnels.

Peronally, I'd leave the turbo top mounted rather than underslung. The I/C can go into one of the sidepods but keep they will need to keep the pipework as short as possible to reduce lag.

A simple schematic of the plumbing on my car, which shouldn’t differ to much in principle to an F1 turbo engine.

I'd expect the F1 engines to have equal length manifolds, and possibly twin scroll.

It will be intresting how the teams split the exhaust to feed the diffusers on both sides of the car, now they have only one bank of cylinders.

Recall the stillborn Alfa Romeo turbo I4, ran only briefly in a Ligier, which was reported to have a spaghetti exhaust,
with pipng from each valve outlet. Pics anyone?

The one thing we have not seen is a 2010 F2 engine as fitted in the car and not on a test bench. That would be interesting.

This is a street car with a 2.0l inline 4, notice that boost doesn't come on until 5,000rpm, it'll be the same, possibly worse, with a smaller engine

Hardly a 'street' car and not much use for the street with boost at that high rpm.
I would have used two smaller turbos, or a supercharger like my SLK (2 liter).
It does compare loosely with the new l4 F1 though.
Hanging the turbo down low will block areas needed for the DF tunnels and increase drag.

Well it's a christian holiday,and the vikings flip flopped to the Christ god and you can't escape the festivities, merry Christmas!

About the Ferrari 4 cylinder concept engine. Were there any implications of having the intakes pointing to the ground?

It's a good idea in that the Turbo is within the foot print of the engine, though i prefer the behind the engine mounting.

Behind the engine has it's implications as well. Some mention the longer pipes being bad for heat transfer, though i've seen pretty long pipes used for side mounted turbos.
One pro is that the exhaust can be easier split to 2 sides when it's along the line of symmetry of the car.
