Did FIA make a mistake or there is another reason why they are putting Sainz in 19th instead of 20th?willmesquita wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 21:47Sainz p20, not p19Emag wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 20:51http://i64.tinypic.com/2hwf9fb.jpg
Here is the provisional starting grid. It's pretty much confirmed Lando will start fifth tomorrow.
If Leclerc and Max take each other in the first corner... I wouldn’t be too upsetGround Effect wrote:I know this isn’t nice, but which 2 drivers would you guys not mind seeing take each other out to give Lando a chance at an unlikely podium?
Not surprising, car's still very front limited. If they can fix the front-end that's at least 0.3-0.5 sec there alone on some tracks.Juzh wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 20:31norris q3 lap - mclaren is not great, not terrible in high speed sections. They got beat by magnussen in q3 because he was like 20 kmh faster in T7, which is a lot

Unlike Renault's 0.5 sec France upgrade...Ground Effect wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 22:55I get the feeling that McLaren won’t be too pleased with the word on the street regarding their Silverstone upgrade. They probably would prefer to fly under the radar and just show up and make the gains. I really hope the upgrades work as expected/hoped.
The team itself though hasn't been boasting about it, and I like it. If you have a nice upgrade coming you don't have to hype it up, instead you let the performance do the talking. That is the mature thing to do, because if you say I am going to gain half a second and you don't, you kinda look like a dork. You never see the big team hyping up their updates or talking specific numbers. McLaren has learned from its mistake last year, with its "magical" spain upgrade that delivered nothing.Ground Effect wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 22:55I get the feeling that McLaren won’t be too pleased with the word on the street regarding their Silverstone upgrade. both mercedes and a redbull would be nice. but id be happy as long as somebody besides mercedes just won the race.Ground Effect wrote: ↑29 Jun 2019, 21:39I know this isn’t nice, but which 2 drivers would you guys not mind seeing take each other out to give Lando a chance at an unlikely podium?
It also gives McLaren additional track time to do final few adjustments to Sainz's car. He will anyways be left with loads of fresh tyres for the race. Happy to see McLaren having pace. Hoping they dont fall back in the race like France and are able to keep up with the Top 3
