What are you talking about he was almost 4 tenths up on George in S1

Lewis could have gotten pole, he was 4 tenths up on Russell before the yellow flag but he also did make a couple mistakes.

It was a mix of the yellow flag and Lewis bottling the corner. The flag went green way before the corner but Lewis was lifting going into the braking zone and still made that mistake. Top 3 was the bare minimum for him today.

Just got unlucky with the yellow flag. It is what it is, I was 4 tenths up.

The good thing is the team has made a step with the car, the upgrades have clearly worked. Really grateful to everyone back at the factory for all the hard work.

It’s not the end of the day. Tomorrow we get another chance. We did a great job in between [sessions] to make changes to the car and it’s always a bit of a gamble cause you don’t know whether or not it’s gonna work– and soon as I got out of the car it was night and day difference. It was great work from the guys in the garage and then Bono and Mike.

It will be fine for qualifying because the temps will be lower. And then the temps will be higher in the race, where they will struggle.

All season long it’s had an issue with temps. And they can’t figure it out.

15 seconds off the lead in a sprint race
