A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

They were pressing, I think I read that in September and information was related to summer period, so more than half a year ago... And, most importantly, it was completely unofficial, like I said before... Obviously, they believe they sorted that now...
IMO even they say they need more fuel, they don't say for what total power. I mean, they set some goal and trying to achieve that, so figurative speaking they sets they're goal to 750hp and they need to have 110kg for that, but can do 720hp with 100kg. Is not that way they wont be able to finish the race...

Question: Ferrari's new cooling system seems to be more efficient, do they have an exclusive deal with the manufacturer or could other teams use that system as well and tighten up their sidepods?
Answer: We know for sure that Ferrari used innovative radiators from a US manufacturer last year. The competing teams assume that they are using them this year also. We know that Mercedes engineers considered a change to be too high-risk. Most other teams probably use conventional radiators as well. There is no exclusive deal as far as we know. The technology behind those radiators is very complicated and expensive.
*changed 'coolers' to 'radiators'

It's definetly an inlet on top of the Ferrari Enginge Cover. That picture and the fact that the two other Ferrari-powered teams have an inlet there make it a reasonable conclusion.

in 2014 season.. no one knows! The cooling systems are very different this year compared to last year. If Ferrari had discovered something new in this area certainly wouldnt go to tell reporters!!
