Read somewhere yesterday that Ferrari has finished with the fastest times in winter testing for the last four years, they'll probably do it again this year.Restomaniac wrote:That I'd rapid my Kimi on softs. I hope we can we have a real battle this year........Pretty please.
Its just everthing. How fast, constant and reliable they are. Totally scary.TAG wrote:Mercedes doing a full race sim on the second day of testing. That's probably more scary than any of the times we'll see laid down today.
The monster is alive!
Echoes of last year when they completed an obscene number of laps during testing - thankfully Ferrari seem to be very close behind them this time around, whereas previously Merc were out in front with nobody touching them.Vasconia wrote:Its just everthing. Just to highlight, Last year in winter testing, on day two, Rosberg was lapping in 1m27.xxx while he was doing race sim, using medium tires. On Race day though, RB12 was doing 1m30.xxx when the race started (of course, after the coming together of Nico and Lewis).marlosb wrote:Race sim explain a lot. Barcelona is notorious for lack grip in hot summer conditions.GPR-A wrote:Just to highlight, Last year in winter testing, on day two, Rosberg was lapping in 1m27.xxx while he was doing race sim, using medium tires. In to the 22s now which is expected as he's into the last stint but it's good to see they're not going to be driving miss daisy in the race anymore. At this pace they would be lapped last years Mercedes after 17 laps.GPR-A wrote:Just to highlight, Last year in winter testing, on day two, Rosberg was lapping in 1m27.xxx while he was doing race sim, using medium tires. bottas lost pace through the stint so tyres not quite delivering what was promised.CriXus wrote:Barcelona is notorious for lack grip in hot summer conditions.GPR-A wrote:Just to highlight, Last year in winter testing, on day two, Rosberg was lapping in 1m27.xxx while he was doing race sim, using medium tires. Perhaps I am wrong, but wasn´t Ferrari quite close too?Anthropolyte wrote:

Glad to hear the MCL32 has been started up. Hoping for some actual testing...
Are you sure that's right? They look like last years times.renatope wrote:From Autosport:

This is his penultimate stint. How do this compares with last year racing sims?
I still see a lot of degradation in laptimes, maybe what has improved is thermal degradation(destroying the tires) when pushing the tyres hard.
