My god, 21ms to pole. I think we missed out here due to two runs. Both of our cars didn't improve on second lap so that fuel was wasted (probably worth 21ms). Also if they did any management on the tyre on the first run and then the track improving a bit. This one got away.

But great news, two cars in second row, no expected penalties. Plenty of opportunities tomorrow.

Crazy, so close.

No Ferrari and only one Bull so there is a good chance to close the gaps in the table.

Yeah it's great. Would have been amazing to have Max behind, but hey, at least McLaren was up there even on a track which might not be the best for them on paper. Let's see how race pace might be tomorrow, still opportunity for plenty of points.

seeing we were going for two flying laps to get time, hopefully that means we can hang onto our tyres better in the race

I think they missed out on the pole due to their run plan in Q3. I respect that they tried something different but with these minimal margins it hurts.

I think the run plan there was sound. Got the best of the conditions seemingly. Every race now we are there-or-thereabouts. What’s not to love!

That shows that we need another huge upgrade to gain the upper hand.

Yes. If they fuelled for 1 lap they'd have pole.

Even 2 tenths would see us fastest at most tracks.

They said conditions got tougher at end, Russell and Hamilton didn't improve. Think they seemingly got it OK.

Did Max put a new soft on the last run?
