Lotus F1 Team have confirmed that the 2014 GP2 champion, and the team's current test driver, Jolyon Palmer will race for the team during the 2016 F1 season, alongside Pastor Maldonado.
That would not work as well. Some teams won't agree to that. Imagine STR and Williams having 2 cars and Mercedes and Ferrari, both with 3 cars. Certainly STR and Williams will have less chance to score big points, which will affect the constructors championship massively. Also strategy wise, would be different. You've got an extra car on track, which could have the possibility to hold up the cars behind so the sister cars can make a gap.SiLo wrote:If we have three car teams we are more likely to see top drivers in the same car for once.
