It's a bit worrying for me. The fact that Nico was complaining about the balance of the car yesterday and now this 'experimental' setup change. Maybe they're having trouble with drivability and it's not responding to setup changes like the W05. Hope I'm wrong and they're just testing!

It's probably due to the massive aero overhaul, it's a different car now compared to the last tests

Better to see what works and what doesn't now, rather than stick with a safe, known setup for all of testing and start experimenting on race weekend.

Mercedes has the luxury of knowing they have a really good platform since the second test so right now they can "afford" to experiment. I just hope they don't stray too far from the known quantity.

those cooling outlets around the gearbox, was that 'slot' just before the edge already present or is it new?

i'm talking about the last slot opening seen @ the wishbones and at the 3rd shot left of the rear crash structure/brake light.
