A new turbo (one not already used) will cost a penalty now he is on his 4th. Elements can be mixed and matched, old with new etc. Unless something about how they interconnect with the other elements makes it impossible.

Ferrari has the Q3 engine mode properly working now in Barcelona. They had it in sochi but it was not set properly.

They were also trying some new launch settings.

I don't think the ICE that was replaced, or the peripheral components, have failed or at life.

The turbo, mguh, ce, mguk have all done relatively little running and were only replaced because it was the quickest way to sort the problem on the day.

It looks like that the ice fitted was the old 1, not number 3

So many different informations with the components used. Is there not any official statement with the usage? I remember in the first years of the hybrids we could find that so easily

FIA documents give used components as:
Vettel: 2nd ICE, 4th TC, 3rd MGUH, 2nd MGUK, 2nd ES, 2nd CE
Rรคikkรถnen: 2nd ICE, 3rd TC, 2nd MGUH, 2nd MGUK, 2nd ES, 2nd CE

As for which ones are used in different sessions, that information can only be gathered from the teams themselves. Once an element has been used once it can be used any time and the change is not published by the FIA. Only new elements get published in FIA documents.

The problems Ferrari has had with their PU are so weird, it tends to happen during practice with the car just coming out of the pits, once the car gets up and running during the race everything works fine...

Too complex an installation?

These engines and cars are so complex in general that if there is a problem it's going to show up pretty quickly. Within a few laps.

A failure after a length of time passes is generally a fatigue or design limit problem.

Does anyone have any pictures of the auxillary oil tank that Ferrari ran in Montreal?

Christian Horner said that someone that worked for the Ferrari and is now on the Mercedes knew that Ferrari were working on some type of oil burning. James Allison?

It was strong in the race too. Almost zero power loss.

Short summary:

- ICE number 3 in Silverstone for both Ferrari cars
- Hamilton in Baku Q3 used the "overboost" on a scale of 8 on 10 (10 max power) and the Mercs used a special fuel on qualy, that wasn't used for the race because they feared that during SC temperatures might rise too much
- New Ferrari ICE should have changes in combustion chamber, it should have 400 bar pressure in the combustion chamber and a compression ratio of 16:1
- There are rumors about steel pistons done with addictive manufacturing with more resistance than aluminium ones, but only slightly heavier, due to honeycomb structure that helps also with heat dispersion
- This ICE should have also changes in the TJI system and should adopt also a new Magneti Marelli's double anchor micro injector that should be able to do multi injections (pre-combustion, combustion, cooling).
- New Shell fuel should be used with this ICE
- From first 062 PU to this evolution there are rumors about 50 hp gain
