And they also say in that article that the next big floor update will add 2kg to the car.
Maybe they will change the chape of the undercut of the sidepods and slim it down, so they will have to stiffen up the floor

Just noticed a little correction on you color coding. The Green piece, you're making it look like 1 piece but it's actually 2.Blackout wrote: ↑27 May 2022, 09:45Yes, just like for the engine cover, the floor is segmented into several parts for cost effective developpement.

Very nice find. What benefits could this have downstream in the flow? It is hard to imagine that this could have similar effects to the F-duct.hollus wrote: ↑06 Jun 2022, 14:10This channel between the head rest and the halo support... is it there in other cars? It looks relatively huge. It is also something that the driver seems to close with his helmet in the inside side of corners, while opening it wide in the outside side of corners, both lightly blocked in straights (third pic)... that much flow change... it is at least surprising. Wondering if this is in an area that doesn't matter?

Alpha Tauri style I think. I wonder why they did not present with this design originally? But they must see some benefits in terms of managing pressure distribution by bringing the inlets as forward as allowed, consistent with how other teams originally launched.
Yeah, Cannot get a really good look at the side. The guy is standing in front of it.JordanMugen wrote: ↑09 Jun 2022, 16:39Alpha Tauri style I think.
