It's impossible to cover 10 points difference on the last race. Congratulations to RP. Their luck and copy is legendary. 3rd position is theirs.
Everything is possible.

We had all the speed to be in front at least with Sainz. I am angry right now.

I mean Mercedes --- up at the right time to give RacingPoint such an amazing result ... RP got so unlucky today at the start, and then karma balanced itself out I guess for last week and just gave them a race win. We just have to defend 4th at this point, RP is just too fast to hold on the last race. It is frustrating that they got it, but McLaren didn't deserve it on pure pace to be honest.

What a fuc*ing bullsh*t race........
We are paying Lando's yesterday "diva" qualifing...and also Carlos fear to go full attack. He did today same error as in Italy with Gasly...he run out of laps i order to give a decisive attack.

I hope next week events will make me eat my words but 3rd place is over. I disagree Emag. We had the speed with Sainz today.

We should be more worried about keeping 4th place.

Perez came from fkin 18th mate ... and yet he was still the fastest car bar the Mercs in the end. And you are telling me they dont have the faster car? I would say they have had the fastest car in the midfield by some margin actually. If drivers like Lewis and Max were behind the wheel of that car, they could have even fought RedBull this year.

And yet we were faster in many races. We managed to beat them in many races. Bravo to Mercedes for that great gift.

That VSC pit was the problemo. It is what it is.

Anyway. Doesn't matter now. There is still 1 race left. We have still a chance but only if both drivers deliver.

Sainz could well have been further up, yes. That was dissapointing, can't fault Carlos.

Lando had fresh tyres and couldn't do too much in the end, even with a fortuitous VSC.

To be honest we didn’t have the pace all weekend. They did very good work throughout the night Friday to get the car into a competitive window. SAI has impressed me so much too.

Shame points wise but that TracingPoint was blindingly quick today.

If BOT wasn’t there we would have been odds on for 2nd here. Such is racing.
Let’s go hard in Abu Dhabi

No one knows how the discussions go inside the team... If the team is been soft or harsh with him, those discussions are behind close doors and I’m glad that they don’t vent on the drivers publicly like other teams

I agree with that smallsoldier. We have no idea, internally, how McLaren are handling him.

It's also the first time he's screwed up in quali, not like he's making a habit of it. He's gonna make mistakes.

Also with regards to him not finishing the lap. He has his co-pilot/Engineer not to mention the whole team there. They have alot more info than we do and he's not alone in making that decision, if it was his choice at all.
How many times does it take to make it a habit?

I count 3 ‘final run’ (2 in Q3 and 1 in Q2) mistakes in consecutive qualifying sessions.
I stand by my feelings on Norris.
