If you watch the video at one point there are engineers working on the model which shows clearly it is 60%

Why would the shots need to be zoomed in any way? A 60% model will look exactly like a 100% model (assuming it's accurate enough), with no context for the size of things.

And what does how the car looks like has to do with zooming? I said zooming cause it looked like the car in 100%.

You don't see how these two statements are related? =D> =D> =D>

But im not getting at looking even if i used it as you rightfully qouted, but the lenght etc of it looks 100% to me or zoomed in thats what i meant and with no reference other then the above pics from GP i asked.

How can you tell what 100% looks like in that photo? What reference do you have? What do you know the length of that you're comparing it against?

Define "zoomed" – zooming is just another word for cropping, and can be achieved in all kinds of ways, including just being closer to the target. As you have no reference for how close you are to the target, or how big the target is, you can't tell how big the item is.

Yeah and if you can read aswell you can read that FIA allows you to swap 1 day of straight line speed test for 100% wind tunnel test just like Lotus did this season. And my 10=% question above was just that i wanted to know if it was their faulty tunnel or a 100% test, but i know now its their --- tunnel with 60%

Hi chassis

Can u confirm ur post? Have you a source?

@adam: yes the original car is 100% and in wintunnel is the car 40% smaller = 60% from the original

Example 50% in windtunnel= if the original car is 3meter length in windtunnel the car is only 1.5meters

Thank you

Is that how it happens? 60% length by 60% width by 60% height? Or is it 60% over volume?

I thought it is like any scale model ie 60 % in 3 dimensions so 60% height width and length. I used to think 1:18 scale on my models as a kid meant 18 models equal 1 full size car but it mean 18 cars for length 18 for width 18 for height but you would have to times 18 by 18 by 18. If I am wrong please explain.
