i wouldn't be so sure about having optional packages at ready. again, red bull didn't have. remember how they had to duct tape tubes out of the sidepods! and mercedes is a whole other animal in terms of being a manufacturer. they basicly have as much money as they want to develope their engine, and they had started as early as 2010! i think honda started their development in late 2012 IIRC. that's two years of dev time from a manufacturer from a country that's in not so good economic state. merc had 4 years, and some sources said they used 135 mil pounds to develope their engine! thats crazy!taperoo2k wrote: I expect they've got different packaging solutions ready should cooling be an issue. Though I don't expect it will be an issue, Honda have had enough time to develop the power unit alongside McLaren. Though we shall find out on Sunday.
i don't think honda has used that much money to their engine. same goes with ferrari and renault. and it kinda shows with those two.
i predict hard times for mclaren in the early days of the test season. and a slow start to the season.
on other stuff.
i think they're hiding alot of stuff like the brake ducts and the rear wing support. i mean it doesn't even have a monkey seat, which was standard on all cars at the end of last season!
does that rear trailing arm look like it's edge is tilted upwards? mushroom arms are gone i'm sure. gosh that's a really tidy and tight shape they've got to it. i hope this wont cause cooling problems.
