I think they got it a bit tighter lat year. I remember they introduced this bodywork in Japan:PlatinumZealot wrote:Can it get any tighter than that?!
Those are all same displays. Different steering wheel layouts make them look bigger or smaller for different teams.LookBackTime wrote:Looks bigger than McLaren display! Am I wrong?

When you are turning with speeds they are doing you don't really look at display as you are trying to get as good line as you can.WaikeCU wrote:There's one downside: When you are turning, you can't see the display, because the steering wheel is in the way, whereas steering wheels with a display can be read at all times.
I think they're the same, in fact I think McLaren electronics make those types of displays as a standard part.LookBackTime wrote:Looks bigger than McLaren display! Am I wrong?

They can't get this tight anymore around the gearbox anymore because they are routing hot air to this part of the car.michaelclarke wrote:I think they got it a bit tighter lat year. I remember they introduced this bodywork in Japan:PlatinumZealot wrote:Can it get any tighter than that?!

Last year they tightened it up enough that blisters were needed for the suspension mountings on the gearbox. That being said, this is only testing and they may be running more heat from a more powerful engine.
There might be some situations, when you can read a display in a Williams better than in a car where the display is integrated in the steering wheelWaikeCU wrote:There's one downside: When you are turning, you can't see the display, because the steering wheel is in the way, whereas steering wheels with a display can be read at all times.
