Well don't expect to have any big effect. This is merely finetuning. They probably didn't bother with it in '15. It introduces another airflow structure and for the small gain it brings they probably decided to put effort somewhere else instead.

yes but depends how good the compromise is, at the moment the tracks on the calendar seem to favour low drag and high speed grip as seen by williams

It straightens airflow toward the rear wing.

The shape will produce lift, look at the side profile. It is very similar to the Mercedes wing. It will have tip vortices curling upwards.

This should be the first true James Allison car now. It's safe to say the suspension and wheel base modifications were directed by him. The aerodynamics look a bit like the RedBull from last year in my opinion. Nothing too fancy on it, but very sleek looking.

Very sleek with more of an undercut, reminds me more of the Mercedes. The Red Bulls have had very upright sides with little undercut but nice coke bottle curvature towards the rear.

The rear of this Ferrari is very impressive. I expected the lift, but this looks like a big step.

You can clearly see the James Allison influence on the FW design. I'll be surprised if the car isn't at least half a second faster from the chassis alone.
