A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.
The aspect ratio of that image is perhaps a little misleading. That could very likely be confusing the eye.
Add to that the fact that whoever published the image has deliberately decided to make it very dark and I think you'll realise that we're probably seeing a composite image here which has been heavily manipulated.

Lets hope it's the real W02 (the car pictured looks promising to me) and not Photoshop. Last year they had an article in the German AutoMotorundSport with a teaser picture of Ross Brawn holding the nose of the then new W01 (which was a mercedes photoshopped version of the 2008 Honda nose)...
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.
I know that this is only my opinion, but what I think we're seeing there is a composite image made up of the BGP1's body and RW and the W01 nose, there even appears to be a gap between the two.
I'd say that the nose image was taken of the nose resting on one of the stands they use at GP weekends but the rear of the car was resting on the floor and the photographer standing in front of it. There seems to be an un-natural change of angle between the supposedly flat (ish) top of the tub and the flat (ish) parts of the FW.
Truth is though, this is all speculation until we actually see some leaked or released images of the actual W02. And even then they might roll out something different for test session 2 or 3.
