Mercedes GP W02

Is this image a graft of a BGP001 and a W01...or is it a sneak preview of the W02??

Nose is much lower than on MGP W01 and I also think it's a bit narrower than in BGP01.So perhaps it's first photo of real MGP W02

Looks like the W01 and BGP001 all in one pic.

I think it is the W02.

That airbox can only be from the BGP001 or the W02. I ain't from de W01, that's for sure.

The nose looks a lot higher than the W01 nose. Just look at the size of the FW pillars.

The V nose shape looks more pronounced than on the W01, too.

Nose looks far too high to be a W01

The aspect ratio of that image is perhaps a little misleading. That could very likely be confusing the eye.

Add to that the fact that whoever published the image has deliberately decided to make it very dark and I think you'll realise that we're probably seeing a composite image here which has been heavily manipulated.

Lets hope it's the real W02 (the car pictured looks promising to me) and not Photoshop. Last year they had an article in the German AutoMotorundSport with a teaser picture of Ross Brawn holding the nose of the then new W01 (which was a mercedes photoshopped version of the 2008 Honda nose)... :?

I think we may possibly looking at a BGP001 airbox and rear fused onto a W01 Nose.

That was my initial impression, But there is somthing lingering about it.....

the w01 nose looks too wide http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/wp-content/u ... 203-23.jpg unless they have photoshopped it to look thinner and the wing supports longer

Re: Mercedes GP W02

I know that this is only my opinion, but what I think we're seeing there is a composite image made up of the BGP1's body and RW and the W01 nose, there even appears to be a gap between the two.

I'd say that the nose image was taken of the nose resting on one of the stands they use at GP weekends but the rear of the car was resting on the floor and the photographer standing in front of it. There seems to be an un-natural change of angle between the supposedly flat (ish) top of the tub and the flat (ish) parts of the FW.

Truth is though, this is all speculation until we actually see some leaked or released images of the actual W02. And even then they might roll out something different for test session 2 or 3.
