I can finally rejoice. The Empire Strikes Back. Strikes back against the terrible Honda Engines, strikes back against those that criticised the team and 1-2 inside's Ferrari's Home. The most important thing is that this victory was on merit and pure speed against the Red Bull, against the Mercedes and against those very lucky teams(Renault, Ferrari, Alpha Tauri cough cough) who got podiums and wins out of pure luck.

You know, I was disappointed last year when we lost out on a Monza win because Gasly got lucky. But I had a feeling, that there was more to come from this team. I remember saying, let's just enjoy this podium, and think about the win some other time. It would be more enjoyable when we win because we deserve, not because we got lucky.

And I was right. This feels amazing. We didn't jut win because we got lucky. Both cars had amazing outlaps and pitstops. They would have been on a 1-2 even if Hamilton and Verstappen hadn't crashed together. Of course, there is still a lot more work needed to make this a common occurrence. But for the moment, let us enjoy the progress the team has made.
