McLaren is not offering the world anything unique in terms of Formula 1 performance or road car performance. I think McLaren is on an inevitable path to insolvency and winding-up. McLaren is now a "gray" company with no plausible long-term financial success but still enough reputation and cash to carry on for a while. Trying to be more realistic than grumpy, sorry if it comes off as the latter. I'll say the over/under on winding up is 4 years.
24 hs after the accident he says he is in one piece and almost recovered. With some body pain. The accident felt like being in a giant washing machine. He would be on the bike in two or three days exercising. No marks or important hematomasGoranF1 wrote:http://www.cope.es/player/fernando-alon ... &activo=10

Jokes with who should pay the food. Having lunch with journalists.
Asked if he recalls details of the accident he says he remembers everything. When starting the overtake perhaps doesn't have the best precision with the braking point.
After the touch sees he lost a wheel and realizes out of control. Hits the left wall. Looks to the far wall which is far yet, but coming fast. Thought 'this is going to be a hard one'. Let's don't get damage. When the car started to roll lost orientation. When the car stopped saw a hole and decided to get out. 'even if the car keeps moving'. He thought the car would continue moving. Also because he sees fluids.
Hoping nothing hits his head. Shrinks inside the cockpit.
Thankful that Esteban is also OK.
After that they went with the Marshalls to debrief the accident from every camera available. Discussing what can be made to avoid further accidents
Praises the crash tests and safety design.
Next time racing will feel more alive than ever. Enjoying to be able to drive again.
Describes survival capsule design
Talks that accidents make motorsports different from other popular sports
The car goes well. Still improvement needed. Saw the car a little more competitive than expected from Barcelona. More optimistic than after the test.
Talks about his Skype call with his family.
In good terms with Ron Dennis. The team more human than 2007/2008 and also younger. Feels they have the capabilities to improve fast.
How many gs? Needed a medical check because the alarm went on. Thinks he heard from the doctor 44 gs. That from the first impact then around 20 the next two.
Sorry for my English. Would be great if you correct it. Up to now I've been a lurker here
