That has been my main concern for a while now... What seems to be a failed attempt at a new front wing implies potential correlation issues... The new wing has only been used in a handful of practice sessions and the fact that it wasn’t used on track aside from Sochi if I’m not wrong means that it is not performing as expected.

Lando looked like he had a cross of the old and new wing but I could be wrong

Going through the pics on motorsport.com shows lando testing the new wing again with the meassure equipment, for sure a next year development they want to be 100% performs as expected and since they havent introduced this year, it doesnt work with the current car or simply dont bring an advantage,
A thought, why do mclaren not ask merc to use their windtunnel? They are no thread anyway

Today both drivers should deliver their A game. We need to beat Albon for 4th and 5th if we are to stand a chance for a good race tomorrow. 10 Points are still nothing and considering Perez is starting last and Stroll is not that good as a driver we have a last chance. So we must deliver today. We need 22 points at least and then hope the RP will get only 11. Today it will show if we can return to a championship winning team and Norris is championship material.

It's a Grand Prix that you can hardly pass so if we get 4th and 5th we will have a good chance.

Now that you people mentioned the new front wing perhaps the new front wing will work with next years car and might give us a solution to the slow speed corners also. If we solve the slow speed corner problem how much of a benefit it will give us?

Good last Q1 but both drivers in Q3 should finish in front of both Renaults, Leclerc and Albon to get a good start tomorrow.

Do we stand a chance to be in front of both Red Bulls? The car seems fast so far but Q3 is the critical one. It will show if both drivers are of championship material. One Racing Point on the back and Stroll is not delivering so far. One Renault out and the other is also not that good today.

Great job by Carlos to get through on those Mediums. Should set him up nicely for the race. Lando showing some good speed too! P5 and P6 should be the target.

P5 and P6 Gives 18 points. We need 11 points more than RP to finish 3rd. We need one more position from Albon cause Perez surely will be at the top ten if we assume Stroll finishes 7th.
