what is pretty certain is that Vettel is now confident with the car in qualifying and RB8 do have the race pace.

4 renault powered cars finishing in top 4. Is this a sign where renault cars having advantage on track with high tire wear? Due to fuel efficiency?

both hamilton and alonso were not alongside rosberg when rosberg swept to the right.....If they were, they would have touched..... Obviously.

so...youre all wrong. Rosberg would physically not have been able to sweep right quickly like that, if either hamilton or alonso were actually next to rosberg.

think about material objects in a space....

I don't think it's about the fuel - but rather they have a drivable engine which leads to less slip on traction I think

Hamilton went off the track. I think Alonso backed out. If they weren't directly along side, they were close to being so.

well thats the point isnt it.
They weren't directly alongside. They were close. Thats all that needs to be said. They had the option to back out of it or keep trying. Hamilton kept his foot in it, and went off track to overtake. Certainly before he went off track, he was not alongside. Thats the facts. Look at the video.

Same thing with alonso. If there was a wall next to the track rather than endless desert, they would not have had the option of going off track, and would have simply backed out of it or gone the other way.

give it a rest dude, you wander why people give you a hard time on here.....
I just mentioned a fact which happens to highlight the success of my preferred driver. Do you think that is offensive just because this board is English spoken and many support English spoken drivers? If Ferrari had this turn around the Tifosi would be unbearable.

The favourite status I mentioned can change very quickly with the cars being so incredibly equal this season. I don't even exclude Lotus and Räikkönen at this time as potential championship winners. Everybody kept harping about how much McLaren is the team to beat after the first three races. It must be legitimate to enjoy a driver and team you support doing well.

Or Hamilton was so close and moving to the right to make the overtake that if he hadn't continued on that trajectory and had tried to switch to the other side then he could have run into the back of Rosberg.

If it's as clear cut as you are making it out to be then why is it being investigated?

I agree. It shapes up into a fine championship with many contenders.

What's obvious about that? An alternative scenario (the one that happened in fact) is that they saw rosberg moving right, and also moved right.

well i think its being investigated because it was close, because alonso radioed in to complain (as did rosberg), and because it looked relatively dramatic because of ham's off track overtake, especially on the tv pictures.

'could have run into the back of Rosberg' .....but he has a brake pedal. He has the choice to lift off. But he didnt, he was absolutely positive that rosberg would leave a gap, he pre empted that and it didnt pan out, so he took to the sand. i just dont see how that is rosbergs issue.

i will fully agree if hamilton had his front wheels somewhere alongside rosbergs sidepods, at the point where rosberg started to sweep right, but im pretty sure he didnt - as i say i'll put the images up later. unless someone beats me to it.

No – the stewards report has not been published yet.
Nor should he receive a pen.

He made his one allowable move whilst ahead of the other car. To the letter of the law he cannot be penalised.
More could have been done.

we'll never see an alonso v schumi 06 Imola scenario ever again.
Yes, 'cos we never seen Raikkonen get hassled for 20-odd laps in Shanghai did we?

OK - so what happens if Alonso or Hamilton have their front wing alongside the rear wheel of Rosberg's car? Rosberg makes that move, the other driver doesn't go off track, Rosberg gets a puncture, the challenger loses his wing... whose fault is that?
