They are keeping it high to still allow for the undercut airflow.SiLo wrote:Thats a lot bigger than the log exhaust. I'm assuming the power increase from this change must be quite large to offset the loss in free space at the back for Aero.

That's a large inlet to the intake manifold. It looks like they are still using some sort of integrated cooling within the rear of the chassis for the charge air. It is hard to tell how the intake air gets to the compressor. Does it go between or around the large charge intake?BlackSwan wrote:http://f1grandprix.motorionline.com/dow ... -00247.jpg
Why does a radiator inlet/exit looks like it is passing through the engine exhaust?
It's also pushed forward towards the wider part of the car up front.dren wrote:They are keeping it high to still allow for the undercut airflow.SiLo wrote:Thats a lot bigger than the log exhaust. That almost guarantee the existence VLIM system on PU114Bdren wrote:That's a large inlet to the intake manifold. Yeah, the team stated they were using it somewhere I read. The way that the cover is shaped, I bet it is some sort of screw, log type system rather than the linear axially moving kind.aleks_ader wrote:That almost guarantee the existence VLIM system on PU114Bdren wrote:That's a large inlet to the intake manifold.
