Disgusting act be Lewis. Did the same with Albon. Should have a harsh Penalty ! Max was slightly ahead in the turn & it was not exactly a low speed corner. He basically left him absolutely no room forget a car width. He was a middle of the road with no space. It was nowhere near even alongside, replays showed Verstapped clearly ahead & even Brundle said Hamilton didn't leave room for a car !

Should atleast be a 20 Second Stop Go type of penalty & hopefully not a 5s joke of a time penalty ! Hamilton's 7 titles are a joke like Villeneuve's World Title !

I think it’s a racing incident.

In ever race series we have been involved in, you’re only allowed one move. Max made multiple.

He went right to squeeze Lewis, swung left, and then dove for the apex.

For as anal as Masi / FIA is about other stuff, they usually look the other way at a lot of this weaving, which is bs.

He was infront, he needed to make the corner. Should he drive off the track for Sir Lewis? Its not the first time Lewis did this manouver. Penalty should be given.

Lewis was alongside on the strait, that means Max has to leave room he can't just turn in on someone.

Was he going towards apex or was he wide?

That was a high speed dive bomb by Lewis in copse, which then resulted in the understeer into Max’s rear. Would be surprised if there’s no penalty to Hamilton. Sky, as expected, is taking Lewis’s side by instinct

If Hamilton doesn’t get a penalty - and therefore, for the second time this season, gets to fix the self-inflicted damage on his car for free under a red flag - that just plain b.s. and unfair.

For what? Being faster? Max was weave left right left right .

While this barely warrants being dignified by a response: it’s for causing a collision - Max had his nose ahead and was on the racing line; if you’re going to put your nose up the inside, you need to be ahead and, more importantly, avoid a collision. It was a desperate move, an error, and a dangerous precedent if allowed to stand.

For the record, I’m a Ferrari fan and have no skin in the game; but it’s totally unfair to benefit from this mistake in judgement and racing etiquette. It could fundamentally benefit him in the championship, which is just not right.

I don't think he will. Probably a 5s penalty. So people should just punt the other out from now on.

It is a joke to see people in this forum arguing Hamilton was alongside when every single replayed shows Verstappen ahead & Hamilton's car was in the middle of the track leaving absolutely no room. It is an open & shut case & if there ever was a case of Stop/Go Penalty or a Drive through penalty, this is it ! But FIA will continue with their joke 5s time penalty !

If Hamilton doesn't get punished for the pit maneuver it sets a dangerous precedent for future incidents, it needs to be settled here and now. Dangerous driving has no place in this sport.

Max should get a race ban. Defending outside the circuit boundaries AND weaving too much AND literally turning into Ham.
