Is that so marcush, perhaps Renault has a better car than the other team then, what a pity if they finish behind?

that might be ..but as you know its a team and drivers championship the car is just one tool to make it happen.
Look at RedBull: best car ..still not bagged the silverware ..it ´s surely not the cars fault there.. :? :?

I'm not convinced that Renault is better than MercedesGP. I am -however- convinced that Kubica is an outstanding driver who has found a team that backs him up 100%.

I never thought much of Rosberg, but I'd be interested to see what would happen if MGP focused all their efforts on him.

In that sense, I think the return of Schu is a double-edged sword for the team. In terms of PR it has been great (his mediocre performance notwithstanding), but a driver of his stature tends to be the main focus of the team, and so far that has not been a good thing for them.

It would have been less pressure with Rosberg as the first driver, and who knows how he might have blossomed were it not for Schu's return.

it could be easily the other way round...Rosberg seemed to have more low key weekends when he was having nakajima as his teammate.
I don´t think he could have done any better, but i think Button would have bagged a few points more.

I know you think Rosberg is overrated, but I think he has performed very well this year.
Schumacher has had more technical problems, I know. But I think Rosberg is up there.
I would rate him above Vettel right now.

there is no contraadiction in this for me.
I rate rosberg as a tad below hamilton and give an allowance for Button as he´s excelling with understeery cars.Vettel is not in my top 5.Rosberg is.

Yea I would go with that.

Seems he got some good genes off his old man Keke. Overall though, I think we will see a different team dynamic next year IF the W02 is capable of winning. The frost will descend between Schumi and Rosberg faster than an iclandic cold snap.

Isnt it also amazing how Vettel has fallen from grace this year?

In 2013 when Schumi finally quits, I want to see Kamui join the silberpfeile, that would be somthing!

I don't think the Germans would like that lol  , Schumachers seat will probably be filled by a German, Sutil or Hulk maybe.

There you go JET, Kobayashi will fit nicely with the team's new guise as AMG-Nissan, perhaps already for 2011?

Why not Nismo? AMG nissan will never happen mate.

Kobayashi in a merc should happen, I'm not saying hes the greatest driver, but he has balls. I think between Hamilton and Kobayashi you have two of the most daring driviers in F1.

the silverarrows legend is also tied to Fangio who is not german. If there is a guy they need to make itt happen ..nationality does not come into it..especially when you want to sell cars not just in germany..

Now that I think about it JET, 2011 cars could simply be "Nissan 2800ZX", with re-badged Renaults, Kobayashi and Sato driving? RBR gets the Mercedes engines, Haug gets a Red Bull jacket, if they can find the size, and everybody is happy?

Re: Mercedes GP

Very true Marcush.

But there are some factors that I forsee.
Kobayashi is Japanese, which for the japanese market that is great. But for China? Not so great.
China is developing into a full blown superpower if not already. And the middle and upper class there will be the de facto targets for all luxury car makers in the next 10 years.

I'm sure you are aware of the historical relationship between China and Japan, you would see why Mercedes would get cold feet about putting a Japanese driver into their car when China could be there biggest market in the next 5-10 years.

Very sad I know....

I agree with you on a lot of things, but this is not one of them.

Sure, the genes of old man Keke, but he won only 5 GP's in his entire career and stumbled upon the drivers' title in 1982 thanks to Pironi's elimination.

I will not discard Nico Rosberg beforehand, but I can't say that he has impressed me much in the last few seasons. OTOH, he's been waaay more impressive than the Schu this year.
