Ferrari has admitted its new car is not delivering what it had been hoped for so far - but it has faith that it can get on top of its issues before the first race of the season.

"I think there is a lot of room for us to improve from where we are. Reliability wise it is good. Performance wise I think we are okay, but we can play around with the performance and improve [the car in] some corners and some particular parts of the corner, but I would not say I am happy yet until we get the whole thing working."

So it seems after three days Pat Fry is a great actor or they're already getting concerned with 2012? >.<

It's a radical departure from the last 3 seasons. It's a risk and I'm glad they've taken it. Now they need to haul ass, set this baby up and rock F1 to it's foundations.

If I were you I wouldn't listen to anything they share with the press/public. And of course they're not happy with the car, anything but perfection is less than enough.

And it would best if we discussed objective matters instead of guessing and wondering about the car/team. I'm saying this a normal member who only wants read about development.

It is going to take a while to get this car sorted. My guess is 3rd/4th race...

It doesn't help that Lotus seem really good as well. Grosjean says he has absolute confidence in the car especially in the high speed corners that even mistakes don't seem so scary.

Preseason tests mean close to nothing for performance. McLaren ran terribly in preseason last year, came out as a solid competitor to Red Bull.

Ferrari and even Mercedes looked fast in preseason, and did pretty bad for their standards.

I see no reason for Ferrari to improve on their dismal performance of the last three years. I think that Merc will be closer to them than they were last year. I would prefer Merc to overtake Ferrari.
