The crowd at Silverstone is a small minority of the 67 million people in Britain. And even amongst that august group of F1 fans, many aren't fans of Hamilton.

Same as every other country. Venues only have a limited attendance.
Whilst the fans at silverstone may not support 1 driver as much as say the Dutch GP, you are completely wrong to say the majority of U.K. fans don’t support Hamilton.

Who would you say they support? At pure speculation because there is no survey or anything done on U.K. fans and which driver they support.

As for who do they support, Norris and Russell both have good support amongst the crowd at Silverstone (just as Button used to).

And there are quite a few British Max fans, of course.

This is very true, I hope people realize, being a Brit does not mean you dislike Max, there are lots of fans of him in the UK and that includes English Max fans as well.

Also in NL there are, and were already, lots of Lewis and Lando fans. But yes, Max is something special in NL. Like Cruyff maybe.

And we’re making these people even more famous. If any, it’s somehow new to F1, but in no way new in general. There’s almost no sport without such fans. Even in Snooker.

F1 seems to have swung this way more after Netflix started doing it’s stuff - unfortunately.

No matter the 2023 situation with the driver market, DeVries would finish 2022 in the Williams of I were running the team. Ricciardo would be a great fit if DeVries does Alpine after this season.

I would very much like them to give Latifi a weekend off and see a direct comparison of Albon and De Vries.

If Alpine were considering a rookie like Oscar, they should seriously consider Nyc.
His age is a little against him as a long term prospect but he has demonstrated he can do a job.

He drove a stellar race thats for sure. Never put a wheel wrong I dont think.

It would be interesting to know how the 7 second rule for getting out the car is applied in scenarios like this, or could be looked at.

I hope Nyck is training hard now, because I don't see Albon is recovered in about three weeks.
Let him think about his health first, that is much more important.
He can't train now and the humidity is very high in Singapore on that very demanding track!

A team statement read: "Further to Alex Albon's diagnosis of appendicitis on the morning of Saturday 10 September, he was admitted to hospital for treatment. He underwent successful surgery on Saturday lunchtime.

It's surprising since Monza is actually quite a relaxing track. Very long straights to rest.

Yea can't imagine him lasting full race distance at Singapore if this is his reaction to Monza. He said post-race he's not fully fit because he is at the moment not full time racing on track.
