@Seg;
My sentiments precisely, why I'm sure that already 2009 cost Daimler a megabuck or fifty, engines for free to begin with.
Come to think of it, now that Ross Brawn has been with the Brackley-squad for more than two years, perhaps even this canonized individual should be questioned? Just a little bit of course...
What both of you fail to give any thought too, is perhaps an opportunity arose AFTER Virgin had intimated they werent prepared to put 80 million in.
The propsal that Honda sold the team with a 1 year Brawn hiatus is preposterous as it is conspiracy overkill.
Brawn went cap in Hand to Mercedes, who were very willing to invest in a winning team. Perhaps too eager, granted.

I dont understand why there is a need to speculate on unfounded speculation and baseless assumptions. :wtf:

Why would all these drivers be heading over to the Mercedes garage in front of the BBC? Are they advertising Schumi's retirement, or is it somthing less newsworthy?

DC is not really a useful source to be honest .A guy who is obviously out of his depth in DTM his opinionating against Schumacher all the year does not qualify him for anything.
Schumacher missed Q3 by 3 tenth of a second. So in reality its the same gap as Alonso /Massa,Webber/Vettel,Button Hamilton.would anyone say all these should retire or are disgracing themeselves? Yes the expectations are higher if you are 7 times champ.
But tbh he´s not disgracing himself here ,the car does not suit him simple as that .Next year if that is still the case he´ll be gone after 4 races..sure .but I don´t see that yet.

Well marcush, I think it is very rare indeed that a rotten car suits a driver, perhaps you have xamples of the contrary?

with ur logic they should fire them both with Brawn and buy Lewis and Mark with Newey
Buying Newey is not a bad idea at all

Mercedes may get Newey but not just yet.

Red Bull have too much finacial clout for Mercedes to compete. It sounds ridiculous, but Red Bull have money to burn, whereas Mercedes do not.
Newey may be tempted by the challenge of resurrecting the "silberpfeile" and working with Ross Brawn. I would like to add that dont think he is money motivated, at least not anymore.

Ross Brawn and Adrian Newey. Could be the rebirth of the Ferrari F2002. Especially in the hands of a capable driver. I shudder. :?

I cannot imagine both RB and AN in one team.

I dont' see it happening either. But it brings back old memories of Byrne-Brawn domination

That's the part I doubt. There's no way two bears would fit in one lair.
I'm sure both respect each other, but being in one team would overlap their responsibility too much.

Haug's comment after the race:

"Needless to say that we are not satisfied with such positions in the longer term but I am definitely satisfied that the team achieved the best possible results today."

What does he mean by longer term and what would happen if they won't achieve what satisfies them? Pulling out of F1?! Any idea on this guys?

Kubica was 11 seconds ahead of the 7-time WDC, not bad with 30 Hp less on a power-track like Monza?

Beacause poking fun at fat Norbert is hilarious no end, Ron Dennis must have felt the same way!

Oh yes the mythical 30hp, Baseless specualtion! You beginning to sound like Christian Horner
And 11 seconds ahead of a 41 year old? Thats actually nothing special! Mercedes actually increased their lead over Renault. So much for them closing at a rate of knots eh?
