It's actually really interesting to see those cells sticking out. It suggests that (not unlike a power drill battery), these batteries are giant arrays of that kind of cell. I'm surprised by that - it wastes a huge amount of space and weight to have to individually package every cell. It seems like they need to go and talk to some really good battery manufacturers.
