Because when have they sprinted for the entire race distance? Not in the last few years at least. Nor will they whilst you have long life parts and limited engine supply.

Alonso still doing surprisingly well in the table. As long as he can't win I'm sure he enjoys seeing the points spread around. Congratulations Webber.

Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes to protest the result due to what they believe is a flagrant technical infringement by Red Bull.
Edit....maybe not....Twitter rumour.

Under article 3.12.5 of Formula 1's technical regulations, teams are not supposed to have any hole in the floor in certain areas - and it is the location of these slots that appears to be the main issue.
More could have been done.
