A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.
'Ferrari broke the curfew for the first time this season last night, presume they've been busy bolting new bits on the car' As it was their first 'offence', it doesn't actually count as an offence - the team will play their curfew 'joker'. Press reports from FP1, Skysports and other journalist reports...
Apparently the FIA scrutinized them on their new RW as well.

New rear wing just fitted and approved by the FIA/Scruitineering prior to the start of Practice 1.
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Did they mention also about the new monkey seat in addition to the new rear wing?
They didn't reveal much mate, however the footage on sky...looks to be a double slot monkey seat (two cuts/slits in it).
New front wing (5 holes/elements on the side end plates).
New air diffuser/barge boards just behind the front wing.
New Rear wing
New monkey seat
revealed by Ted Kravitz

That 5 element is brand spanking...the old design had large slots I believe? and wasn't it a 4 element?

Hi welcome to the forum. From what i see that it is not new or changed from india. In india the exhaust channel tips is seems to be extended a bit and also downward sloped. but due to angle of the pic it seems different.
Formula One is a game.............. but not any ordinary game for me
If you take a closer look the starter hole has a more aggressive curve (Pure guess around 45 Degrees per angle). Looks to be feeding the new scoop.
Now on the small flap connected to the diffusor, at this weekend its seems to have been converted to a double slit instead of the single element seen at all races up to india
Note in the Abu Dhabi photo as well that the double holes spotted in India have been taped up? (perhaps it wasn't working or their hiding something pre practice?)
Would be nice for someone like Scarbs, Bhall, Amou, Crucial X to take a look at this, to me this seems to be a hole/tunnel feeding the diffuser...or even more far fetched the floor.
Hail man the last pic is really a findings, but others are noting new, caz in india alonso ran the new modified diffuser with a modified stater hole which is already discussed here. and in another pic you pointed toward some hole in the rearwing windplate they are already presented in other races and they are probably for some sensor attachment during free practices.
