I log on to read about the race and I get a fanboy thread. Mods?

The result shows that this season will be another series of Red Bull processions, unless McL can give Button a more consistent car and can improve their pit work. I no longer consider Hamilton Mclaren's number one -- far too inconsistent. Kimi and Lotus will make it interesting occasionally, but do they have the resources to match McL and RBR's developments? Doubt it.Merc will show well on some tracks. One must wonder how long Merc will suffer Schumacher's declining skills. Lost season for Ferrari: their much-discussed Mugello update MIGHT get to them to where they should have been at the start of the season.

I don't get it. If Nico's defense was found legal, why has Lewis not been penalized for overtaking with all 4 wheels off the track?

Important detail: DC commented that everyone knew there was concrete (not sand) on that part of the track as some other cars had gone wide during the GP2 race.

How do you go about criticising the posts of others in your very first sentence, then go on to basically talk as if you haven't even been watching Formula one since last November?

Hamiltons consistency has been exactly where it needs to be this year. Almost faultless relative to basically everyone else on the track in terms of racing mistakes.

You also seem quick to forget how dominant the Mercedes was just one week ago in all areas and how they weren't anywhere near seven days later.

Just as people were putting Button down as WDC winner after Australia, he is now in fourth place due to both his and the teams own errors.

I didn't find any mistake from Hamilton today. His pit-stops were just way too bad. I am not fully sure what really happened apart from a wheel nut problem, but he clearly lost nearly 20secs in 3 pit stops. And then was stuck behind the Ferraris in the last part of the race.

What about Alonso's unsave release from boxes? It appeared on TV that it was under investigation and no action has been taken after the race, but there was no message from that on TV.

Rosberg's manouvers were border-line-legal and he also escaped without any penalty.

It's funny to see that stewards are so different from one race to another

It's a shame to see Webber all of a sudden basically powerless against his team mate.

For whatever reason, something changed on the car and all of a sudden he is confessing that there is "no way" that he could keep up with Vettel in the same machinery.

His KERS is also famously forever giving up on him.

It was nice to see him have at least some genuine twinkle of confidence in his eyes during the interviews recently, but today he's gone back to 2011.

Is this the same alonso that overtook his teamamte early last season, in the pit lane entrance, with all 4 wheels off the track..

If Nice was fully ahead and Alosno had no part of his car alongside Nico's then why would Alonso willingly drive his car off track and into a massively dusty area? That makes absolutely no sense for a driver of Alonso's talent to do. If no part of his car was alongside the Merc, he would have switched back. You don't run your own car off track to avoid not getting tangled up with the guy you are trying to pass. That's an extremely basic facet of racing. If you aren't alongside someone and they cut very swiftly across the track, you have no reason to go the same route.
