Car is bottoming A LOT compared to anybody else from the onboards. Really crazy levels of bottoming, saw all onboards from the other big teams, none were bottoming close to that. all straights, main straight before the start-finish line you can hear it already. Hard for me to believe they are that much heavier than everyone else, maybe the suspension changes still needs to be learned.
Watched the entire afternoon session carefully. I did not see any vertical sway on the McLaren, except for the bumps on the track. It was about the same for the other teams.

This is the 2nd run he is doing, both in similar fashion.
Start with a relatively fast lap or two in ~1.34s and then drop to around ~1.38s a do couple more laps.
They are going for consistent runs rather than outright speed by the looks of it.
Oscar's done around 53 laps in this session, last few laps of the session Oscar was
doing an aero run with flowviz paint.

This has to be said every year, do not read too much into testing lap times. McLaren are likely working to a testing programme that probably aims to ensure the data from CFD, wind tunnel etc correlates with the data on the track, once that's verified they'll push on.
FYI - Max pole position lap time last year was a 1:29.708. Even Red Bull are "Slow".
I agree, I have not said McLaren are slow. Any comparisons do not have much value for now.
Oscar later ran a similar stint again.

FYI - Comparing pole lap is a bit off topic, as qualy is in a completely different time of day. Max did however ran faster than last years FP1 top time "the fastest time in FP1 at last year's Bahrain GP was a 1m32.758s from Sergio Perez". So RedBull are by no means slow.

I was jesting about Red Bull being slow. Leclerc wasn't that far behind Max. As I said it looks like whatever run programme McLaren has, it appears to be running smoothly.

The Mclaren looks very stiff, no issues with bumping or anything else that I can see.

In the morning, a lot of carbon was flying from Oscar's car.

Do you have the full table? Verstappen's top speed was likely hit in the slipstream when overtaking Leclerc. He set purple sectors at the end of the straight following Leclerc, so probably an outlier for that reason

There is no table, this is data from live Amus.
