Ferrari are paying 50% of Kubica's salary? I've not heard that before.Mr Alcatraz wrote:Renault...They already have a deal with Ferrari paying 1/2 year salary for 02.12

Nice one there Alcatraz. But It's hard to imagine what Kubica can offer Ferrari. After the Kimi Debacle, I think Ferrari will stick to more "western" drivers.Mr Alcatraz wrote:Renault...They already have a deal with Ferrari paying 1/2 year salary for 02.12 and then he will be among friends Luca would love to have him fit, and healthy
Alonso would test him. Massa needs a good car. He is no Rubens, Massa is Mike's creation and it's probably a good thing. Kubica to Ferrari, Kimi to Renault, Felipe back at Sauber with Perez…Koby needs to run Indy cars with Sato trust me.
What? Do you think Jacques Villeneuve will replace Massa?n smikle wrote:Nice one there Alcatraz. But It's hard to imagine what Kubica can offer Ferrari. 2 years gap is too long for a 1 race winner.
Too many young guns out there that will develop their skills and learn the tyres and cars. Not only that they will have a physical advantage and be fresh on the principal's minds.
If Robert comes back and gets a seat in 2013. It will be more for respect than anything else.
Sounds gloomy, but i can see him as a de la rosa type test driver in 2 years, if he clings to team and while only being able to do the simulator work when the petrovs and grosjeans are well placed to pilot the car at 100%.
I'm an asterisk?cravenciak wrote:"2 years gap" - only 7 months passed. You're a ********* if you think that he will not come back 2012. eot
Nice Ringo! That's the beauty of archives. There is none as blind as those who will not seeringo wrote:ringo wrote:A 2 year hiatus for a guy that had some skills and a relatively meager F1 resume is not justified by something that they do for fun.

The question now is how far into 2012 will he return. I can see a few practice sessions. And if the car is very good and both drivers doing a good job, i don't see them giving him a race. He will get pissed and fall out with Boulier over Grosjean bias and he will sit out till 2013 to go to ferrari or elsewhere.
Ah ya' why is he making statements like this?Fil wrote:I have to say, the longer Kubica's recovery goes, the more i distrust & dislike his manager. There's something suspicious about Morelli and his outwardly combative language. Has he said anything positive about Renault in 2011??
I understand a manager needs to support his driver 100%, but it's over the top with this guy. Renault must hate dealing with him..
Oh that's right, he's a lawyer."We count on and hope to be ready, but in any case the delay will be a few months, 2013 was never mentioned. Renault will go its way with regards to the drivers, while we will look for alternative solutions.
"[The contract] does not extend to 2012, it ends at the end of December, so from 1st January will we be free to go in whatever direction."
"Plans have gone out of the window, but if Robert comes back that's because he will be competitive like before and attractive for the top teams,".
As usual, when nobody knows what's it all about, it's about the money. That's Morelli's job, and F1 is serious business, and Morelli's 20% (or more) is worth the fight.Fil wrote: I understand a manager needs to support his driver 100%, but it's over the top with this guy.
