Good result for Gasly. He has been racing well in previous races. Yes a lucky break but then he took the luck and held on for the win. Nice to see a fresh set of faces on the podium.

If not that's bang out of order, Frank is a legend and a beautiful man and deserves a big mention.

Without a shadow of doubt TD hit mercedes hard. Not in quali but in race they're very much not flying past people as they used to. Bottas stuck behind lando for the entire race just hovering on ~1s gap and even hamilton had to work hard for most of those overtakes against cars multiple seconds slower than him. Would never have happened before TD. It seems they also decided on a mode too powerful for quali and then couldnt cool the car enough trough the race.

What was the gap ham to bot in the end? Considering ham lost 32 secs ish in the pit and had to work through the pack

10 seconds. Hamilton made up 22 seconds whilst working through the pack.

Still can't work out the penalty (level) it wasn't deliberate and Ham didn't gain from it so was a 32 sec penalty fair?

This has happened to me in real life. It has happened to friends of mine. Guess what, no one cares anymore. We’ve literally been crashed out of the lead in real life and our butts aren’t as hurt as yours is from a video game.

Quite poor pace wise but he's a great racer.

He did seem to frustrate BOT, but I don’t know whether that’s something to applaud

I was relieved he didn't win. He pushed me out of the way on iracing despite knowing there was no way to pass without contact. Still, I wanted to steer away from him to avoid contact, but he did nothing. Asshole drivers don't deserve to win imo.

You could say it’s fitting. Williams were a privateer team were the ultimate F1 winning underdogs. And today 3 underdogs are on the podium.

I think it's one that effectively written in to the rules. "Though shall not enter a closed pit lane".

Also speaking of Bottas and Albon being poor, where was Max ? Went backwards on both starts , was under investigation for having Perez off, shocking day for him too by the looks of it.

Were we watching the same race?

Mercedes was very fast in qual and even more so in the race. Their car was setup for downforce as they expected to be up front, not overtaking cars.

Did you not see Hamilton up front until the safety car? Utter dominance and he was driving slowly to save the car.
